Visiting the rooftop restaurant with the nest-style seating was an incredible experience. The sunset views were absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, but what truly made the evening special was the exceptional service - you genuinely feel taken care of. When the evening turned a bit chilly, they even brought us blankets. Highly recommend! Special thanks to Joel and Pedro - without a doubt the most attentive and caring staff we encountered in all the restaurants we visited in Tulum.

Absolutely phenomenal hotel. We booked dinner at the restaurant in the little nest and ended up saying the night even though we had no need or plans to do so. The gentleman at the front desk was very attentive and helpful, I wish I remembered the name. Ricardo at the restaurant provided very attentive, and genuinely friendly service. Cocktails and food was amazing, not to mention the views! The entire hotel is absolutely gorgeous and such a pleasure to walk through. The rooms were big, beautiful, clean you can see attention to detail. The gentlemen at the breakfast restaurant also provided amazing service. The same goes for the security/valet gentleman at night and the gentleman and lady in the morning. From rooms to views to decor and to absolutely all staff that we encountered - 10/10. Will definitely be back with family for a longer stay.

I recently stayed at the Kanan Tulum Hotel for 8 days. The property and rooms are very nice and gave a very unique experience. Joel at the front desk was the best from the first day greeting us to our last day checking out! I received 3 spa treatments, a master massage, the rejuvenating anti-aging facial and the cocoa wrap. They were all nice, but by far my favorite was the master massage with Laura. I cannot recommend it and Laura enough. Her energy is very calming and therapeutic and adds to the services she provides! We had dinner 1 evening up in a nest overlooking the ocean and that was a fantastic experience and dinner with Ricardo as our server! Totally recommend this as well!! Now the reason for only 4 stars. The service in the restaurant for breakfast by the beach as well as service on the beach was hit or miss. Many times I had to go up to the bar to order my own drinks or food. 1 day we were offered an umbrella from the sun, another day I asked for an umbrella and was told no, although when I brought up the fact I was provided 1 the day before they did bring and set up 1. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view room which was lovely! However the entire experience in the room and out in the beach was a little tainted by the competing clubs on both sides of the Kanan, along with the Kanan playing techno music all day every day. The music continued to 1am -2am every night, although I do believe this came from a neighbor club and not the Kanan itself. All in all I would recommend and was happy I experienced the beauty and unique views and vibe the Kanan provides!

I happened upon this place on a Friday night and they had 2 different DJs playing on multiple levels. The architecture and ambiance are absolutely out of this world. Dancing in a gorgeous tree house with the moon and stars was an experience I will never forget. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Tulum.

Ethereal vibes. Every corner there is something new to discover. From statues to hidden pathways, it felt like a big treehouse playground. We especially loved the day beach club and how clean our rooms are. They clean our rooms every day, and quick to serve what we needed. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, great view. Fair warning there are noises but since it is at the heart of all the night life and restaurants, it is inevitable, but honestly it didn’t bother us much with our sleep. Also, you can hear the other room, a lot of mumbling, but again didn’t really affect us sleeping. Thank you for making our trip so relaxing and memorable.

Beautiful place with good food. I went for a beach club it was so fun. Things to remember - you don’t really need a cover fee you can go for the table option and get the food. I was minimum spend for the bed is 1000 pesos and they quickly inflated the price so I chose the table option. Food was good too

We recently stayed at Kanan with a large group of friends traveling to celebrate a birthday and we were beyond pleased with Kanan! The service was exceptional, the location was absolutely ideal and we had the best experiences exploring the hotel, enjoying the ambiance and watching sunsets from the rooftop nests. I did a lot of research going into this trip and while I noticed there were some questionable reviews about all of the hotels in the Tulum Hotel zone, Kanan exceeded every expectation and not a single member of our party had a negative experience! We will absolutely be back to Kanan and would 10/10 recommend to anyone traveling to Tulum!

The hotel was great for the location. A little bit noisy at all times, food was more expensive than normal. If you want to relax and drink and don’t care about Mexican culture this is your spot. Cabs are expensive into town and restaurants are crowded with rich foreigners. We got what we paid for. We spent 6 days, the hotel crew was amazing Jorge, Emanuel, Pedro and Misa. Were available to us at all times! Alessandri in the office was sweet helpful and professional! The hotel was great! Expensive! But, great.
